Dreams Punta Cana Wedding: The Real Story of Emma & Jeremy

By WBA Studio · Punta Cana Wedding Photography & Film · Updated August 2026

Some couples plan a wedding around the two of them. Emma and Jeremy planned theirs around everyone. That's the difference that shows up the moment you look through their gallery, there's a baby in the wedding party, grandparents in the front row, and a bridal party that danced their way down the aisle like they'd been waiting all day for permission to let loose.

They got married July 21st at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana, and we were there for every second of it.

The Venue Decision Most Couples Don't Know About

Here's something that doesn't show up in most resort brochures: Dreams Royal Beach sits right next to Secrets Royal Beach, an adults-only property. For couples with no kids on the guest list, Secrets is gorgeous. But Emma and Jeremy wanted their nieces and nephews there, not just for photos afterward, but standing right there while they said their vows. That single requirement made the decision for them. Dreams was the only version of that same stretch of coastline built for their whole family.

If you're weighing resorts in this part of Punta Cana and kids are part of your picture, this is worth knowing before you book anything.

What the Day Actually Looked Like

The ceremony happened right on the sand, a simple white arch dressed in ivory roses, ocean behind it, a hand-lettered welcome sign near the aisle. Nothing overly produced, just enough to frame the moment without upstaging it.

The bridesmaids spent the morning in matching beige rompers, bouquets already assembled, laughing their way through hair and makeup. By the time the ceremony started, they'd changed into soft taupe and mauve gowns, and the groomsmen were lined up in tan suits that matched without looking matchy.

And then there was the flower girl. She wasn't posed for a single shot all day, she was just there, reaching for Emma's bouquet before anyone had even lined up, riding on a bridesmaid's hip through half the ceremony. That's the kind of image you can't stage. You can only be ready for it.

After the vows, the whole wedding party more or less sprinted back down the aisle, arms up, completely unfiltered joy. We didn't ask for that. It just happened, and it's one of our favorite sequences from the entire day.

Why This Venue Works So Well for Photos

Open beach, unobstructed horizon, palm trees positioned like they were placed on purpose. Dreams Royal Beach gives you very little to fight against visually, which means more time spent on the moments and less time managing the background. Sunset portraits with the wedding party, taken with that low golden light through the palms, are consistently some of the strongest images we walk away with from this property.

A Few Notes for Couples Considering Dreams Royal Beach

If children are part of your wedding day, this is your venue over its adults-only neighbor next door.

Build in a sunset slot for portraits, even just fifteen minutes changes everything about how the light reads.

Don't over-choreograph the exit. Some of the best footage from Emma and Jeremy's day was nobody following direction.

Book your photography team early. Twelve to eighteen months out isn't overkill for peak season.
